If you have even a little bit of talent or craftiness in your blood, you can easily arrange your own wedding flowers. The only problem comes in to play with time! Usually a bride does not create her own arrangement because she is pressed for time or doesn’t have access to flowers. However, the Internet has changed all of that!
If you are getting married in a spring or summer month, ordering flowers is fairly easy. Any type of flower can be grown in those months, meaning they are easy to get and the price won’t be outrageous. If you are getting married in the winter, prepare to pay high prices if you want exotic flowers.
Even a busy bride can arrange her own wedding flowers. By choosing a simple arrangement and using basic flowers, you can create your own stunning and elegant bridal bouquet. A little planning help is all you need.
If you are ordering a type of flower, make sure you order its arrival to coincide with a day or two before the wedding. Talk to the place where you are ordering from and make sure they can get that flower when you nee it. Ask what the guarantee for flower shipments – i.e. if they refund money if the flowers do not arrive on time or if they arrive damaged.
Have a cold storage ready to place the flowers in immediately after arrival. Keep them cold, but not frozen.
Plan to arrange the flowers one or two days before the wedding. Don’t wait until the day of your wedding to make the arrangement, because if something goes wrong, you don’t have time to go to plan B.
Always create a plan B if a flower doesn’t show up or if some show up damaged. You may need to substitute silk flowers last minute to replace something ordered.
